As a young adult in 1975, I moved to Minnesota from my childhood home in western New York. My maiden name was Suzanne Bielmeier. Within the next year, I began my “own” life with my beloved Vizslas. I purchased Trina in 1976, and she became my first foundation bitch. Trina loved to hunt, and I enjoyed participating in what we called “fun” Field Trials. She always placed, and I had a great time competing with the “good-ole boys.” Back in those days, there were few women competing in field events. I bred Trina three times and produced some very nice, conformationally sound offspring. One of those pups was my special boy, Cid. And so began my journey as a breeder, and an obedience and breed show competitor. Additionally, I was one of the founding members and on the Board of Directors of the Twin Cities Vizsla Club, serving as their Show Chairman for the first nine years.
