Saving Millie Sue |
|
 |
Vicki & Charles McArthur and I helped in the rescue of Millie Sue after seeing her at a Petland in Milledgeville, GA while in the area for a HT. She was very ill and I am certain would not have survived much longer. Two angels, Melissa & Dwight Irvin, rescued her, fostered her and gave her the best gift of all - a forever home! I went through every avenue I could think of to hold the owners of this Petland responsible for their abuse and neglect of this puppy; the police, animal abuse networks, PETA, local newspaper, the Better Business Bureau, etc. Unfortunately, no one took action. BUT, I made their lives uncomfortable being checked out by a number of the above agencies. There is a petition out there to close the Petland of the Oconee in Milledgeville- I hope one day this will be a reality. |
